Cressi’s new-generation diving masks all feature idf-integrated dual frame technology, offering an exceptional field of vision, and the new Calibro is no exception. The mask is designed so that the integrated skirt and frame allow for an extremely hydrodynamic and compact shape and a particularly large lens, keeping the mask extremely close to the face. The Calibro combines minimal internal volume with a phenomenal field of vision thanks to the inclined angle of the frame. The buckles are, as always, directly integrated into the rigid skirt through a solid yet flexible rubber attachment that allows the snorkel to be adjusted and positioned without moving the masks. Thanks to the matte coating, the mask’s components blend together, enhancing the diving experience by preventing reflections in the water that could disturb marine life. Calibro is also the perfect mask for freediving, as it was designed to offer the diver a feeling of total freedom and comfort.
A patented membrane surrounding the internal nose pocket acts as a barrier and retains moisture that involuntarily escapes from the diver’s nose when breathing through the mouth. The result is that not only is moisture channeled away from the lenses, preventing them from fogging, but it also reduces the need to equalize the pressure. To further improve the anti-fog effect, Cressi suggests spraying a little anti-fog solution or applying a little saliva to the inside of the lenses the first few times you use the mask and then rinsing them with water.
